This four-issue mini-series reintroduces the madcap Badger by delving into the early days of Norbert Sykes at Madison, Wisconsin’s Nakoma State Colony mental institution.

Psychologist Daisy Fields is called to the mental hospital to examine Vietnam veteran Norbert Sykes. Norbert appears to suffer from multiple personality disorder, carrying around at least seven personalities, including that of a seven-year-old girl. Norbert lands in the institution after his most unruly personality, the Badger, assaults a group of teenagers who were abusing animals. As Norbert struggles with himself and his paranoid delusions, he meets another patient, a suspected serial killer named Hammaglystwyth, who believes he is from Wales more than a thousand years in the past.

Will Daisy be able to help Norbert? And who will be the next to suffer a well-deserved beating at the hands of the deranged martial arts expert known as the Badger?
