From the ashes of Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day rose two new incarnations of the classic DC super-team series: Outsiders and Teen Titans. Adopting the formula of the Titans' successful 1980s run by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, this series unites Starfire, Raven, Changeling (now Beast Boy again), and Cyborg with relative newbies and former Young Justice members Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Impulse (now Kid Flash) as the adolescent heroes' mentors. The main thrust of this series is that the young heroes need some time away from their adult counterparts, and the new Titan Tower provides them with both a weekend getaway and the opportunity to run afoul of the likes of Deathstroke the Terminator, Lex Luthor, and Brother Blood. Under the creative auspices of writer Geoff Johns (JSA) and artist Mike McKone (Vext), this group of Teen Titans captures the spirit of the Wolfman/Perez era of the 1980s and deals with some intriguing new issues, most notably Superboy's genetic origins and the ultimate fate of Deathstroke's son, Jericho.
