These two volumes collect the interlocking “Call of Duty” titles published by Marvel in 2002: Call of Duty: The Brotherhood, Call of Duty: The Wagon, and Call of Duty: The Precinct. Reminiscent of TV’s Third Watch (but adding some superhuman elements), the stories focus on the day-to-day drama experienced by New York’s police, firefighters, and paramedics. Published shortly after the attacks of 9/11 made national heroes out of New York’s first responders, this series is well worth checking out.
