Thrillogy

Tim A. Conrad’s Thrillogy was a one-shot anthology featuring three of Conrad’s short stories with illustrations by Bob Jessup. It was published by Pacific Comics in 1984.

First up is “Prometheus Primeval,” a prehistoric tale about a Cro-Magnon man who becomes self-aware. In those prehistoric times, the people acted as a unit, driven by a basic instinct for survival which was shared by the entire tribe. That conflicts mightily with the individual thought needed in order for there to be progress.

In the second story of the series, titled “All That Glitters,” the focus is on a young magician’s apprentice, who learns of a great evil that his Duke and the Captain of the Guard are planning.

Lastly, “Red Rover, Red Rover”follows the trials and tribulations of the inhabitants of an Earth colony on Mars.
