Seven beings from another dimension find themselves in a town called Crossroads. In Crossroads, they try to assimilate into human society. The team is super-powered and all of the members posses high moral virtues. The team is comprised of Rampart, Reflex, Conal, Cascade, Network, Indigo, and their leader, Cruiser. Cruiser’s mother is an evil being who has the power to either rule or destroy the world. This power causes Darkseid, one of DC’s most powerful villains, to fear her, adding a powerful enemy to the growing list of people who want the team dead.

With this series, writer Chris Claremont returned to the DC Comics stable. Known mostly for his work on Marvel’s Uncanny X-Men, Claremont was the creative force behind the introduction of Sovereign Seven in 1995.
