Your name is Jeff Carey, and you’re a very public super–hero called Paragon—a celebrity who uses his incredible powers to aid humanity. Your adventures have brought you fame, fortune, and the adulation of the masses; you are a force for good and people love you for that. Unfortunately, you’ve also made some enemies, and they are not above using your fame against you—and your wife and daughter—by attacking the Wesley Grand Hotel, where you maintain a penthouse apartment. Once everything is taken from you, you allow yourself to die with your family, and you become a new agent for justice whose methods are not as heroic as Paragon’s. This is twisted new stuff from writer Chuck Dixon (Detective Comics) and artist Dave Ross (Birds of Prey).
