Creased is writer/artist Daniel Miller’s word to describe the effect a guy feels when he realizes that “his once favorable status with a female has become unfavorable, especially without warning or prior knowledge.” In such a situation, said guy has been “creased.”

Set in Savannah, Georgia, Creased features a simple and effective cartoon–like illustration style that befits the hapless progress of a young, unrequited man in this 104 page black and white manga–sized book. Poor, naive Daniel is new to the vicissitudes of love. He holds out hope his art school sweetheart Elaine will end up with him even though she’s dropped out of school and moved out of state. They stay in infrequent touch and visit on occasion. Is this really any way to manage a love life?
