Known for successful comics based on such media properties as “Aliens,” “Predator,” “Star Wars,” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Dark Horse unleashed the gargantuan alien bugs from “Starship Troopers” in this four-issue limited series from Jan Strnad (Dalgoda, Sword of the Atom) and Davide Fabbai. This four-parter deals with the redemption of Tom Trask, a screw-up who disagrees with the Federation’s policies and who refuses to follow his friends into the Starship Troopers. Still, there is a hero in Tom—a certain nobility in his recklessness and his obstinance—and events are conspiring to bring that quality out in him as the war between the Federation and the giant alien bugs heats up.
