This twelve-issue maxi-series from DC Comics’ science fiction imprint, Helix, brings to the comics form the concepts and characters of one of the most intriguing writers of speculative fiction. Michael Moorcock has had his stories adapted for comics before (Elric, and “Behold the Man” in Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction), but this is the first time he has written specifically for this medium.

Working with artists Walter Simonson, Mark Reeve, and John Ridgway, Moorcock tells three separate, but connected stories featuring his multiverse concept. From a daring riverboat-type gambler testing his skill with the Game of Time; to the fog-shrouded streets of London in pursuit of a brutal murderer; and to 1000 A.D. and the albino aristocrat, Elric, the reader will recognize familiar names and subjects amid these diverse settings.
