The heroes disappeared, one by one. Some retired, some were killed. All of their costumes ended up in the private museum of one of the country’s biggest crime bosses. People were afraid…until finally one man had had enough. His ability was he could surmise a person’s latent skills and super-powers and train them until they were the best they could be. Organized crime was shocked, not so much from the disappearance of their “trophies” but because the heroes were coming back and coming back with different powers. And this time, they couldn’t study and predict the new wave of heroes because this time, the new generation of heroes were trading off costumes, completly confusing the bad guys.

And once again, people had hope.
