Mission: Impossible (Dell)

Dell’s Mission: Impossible comic was based on the popular spy-action television series from the late 1960s. As anyone who has ever seen an episode of the often-rerun series knows, the Mission: Impossible team is a super-secret group of agents sent out to tackle dangerous, sensitive, or “impossible” missions behind enemy lines. Their success depends on the specialized skills of team members, who are variously acrobats, weapons experts, masters of disguise, martial artists—in short, having whatever skill is needed.

The comic book adaptation of Mission: Impossible sticks closely to the formula of the television show, and the artists struggle to depict the familiar faces of stars like Martin Landau and Leonard Nimoy. The covers often feature photographs taken from the show.
