Emergency was a popular 1970s television show that followed the non-stop rescue adventures of Los Angeles paramedics John Gage and Roy Desoto. The brave paramedics do everything from saving the proverbial trapped pets to treating burn victims at a fire. With all the lives they’re saving, it’s amazing Gage and Desoto have time for recreation. Even then, free time is often taken up with minor rescues, such as performing the Heimlich maneuver on a choking party guest.
