Stacia Stories
(Kitchen Sink, 1995)
™ and © Kitchen Sink Press, Inc.
Stacia, the star of this comic, is a real live woman who is portrayed as an incredible distraction to men. Although not as voluptuous or overtly sexy as most women in comic books, Stacia exudes a confidence about herself and an indifference about others that makes her… intriguing. Stacia’s exhibitionism, and the fact that she hangs out at comic conventions, is a large part of her appeal.
Her patron, Guy Colwell of Doll, became acquainted with her when she volunteered to pose for a drawing workshop. He wrote and drew three of the Stacia episodes (one hesitates to call them stories) filling out the book with pin-ups and humorous Stacia encounters.
