The Call

Firemen, policemen, paramedics, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents: They’re all ordinary people who are called upon to put themselves at risk to save lives, to think of others before themselves. It’s a responsibility and a sacrifice that each accepts, hard though it may be for themselves and their families. Their jobs have just gotten a little bit stranger, though, as a mysterious disease, toxic flames, and inexplicable transformations are turning them into something more, or less, than human. Doing their jobs has just become the least of their worries.

The tension is high and so is the body count in this dark, scary series by Chuck Austen and Patrick Olliffe.
