The hero of this series is a genetically-engineered soldier called Friday. Designed as part of a squad to fight for the Southers in their war against the “Norts” on Nu Earth, he fell into a disastrous “quartz massacre” that killed his comrades. Their minds live on, however, as bio-chips in the backpack, gun, helmet, and other equipment he carries. Through them, he is able to control each piece of equipment remotely. For example, it allows his gun to fight semi-independently of him.

The trooper went rogue when betrayed by a traitorous general, and has since only sporadically fought for the Southers. Mainly, he strives to stay alive in a world which seems to be one large battleground.

This series reprinted Rogue Trooper’s adventures from the British 2000 A.D., along with backup features starring the A.B.C. Warriors, Chopper, and other 2000 A.D. favorites.
