From pop culture to politics, Zippy the Pinhead’s offbeat take on life has entertained fans since 1970. Each issue of Zippy Quarterly collects some of Zippy’s finest moments, reprinting classics and dailies as well as Sunday strips that are featured in full color. Highlights include a behind the scenes look at Zippy’s influence on Clinton’s presidential campaign as well as a fond farewell to Harvey Kurtzman, original editor of Mad. Bill Griffith’s weird and wonderful creation is joined as always by a familiar cast of characters including Griffy, Mr. The Toad, Shelf-Life, Claude Funston, Vizeen Nurney and of course Zippy’s wife Zerbina and their children Fuelrod and Meltdown. “Are we having fun yet?”
