First published in ashcan format and titled Babette Buster P.I., Nemesister recounts the adventures of a hardboiled female L.A. private investigator. The opening story has Babette on the trail of a missing teen who seems to have been involved with a gang of nefarious criminals. Meanwhile, Babette’s lover and secretary, Cole, is pressing Babette for a chance to be more involved in her cases. This independent black-and-white series is the work of writer Laura Behary and artist Craig Clark.
