Shadow of the Batman

After seeing his parents murdered, Bruce Wayne became an avenging creature of the night. Now the criminals of Gotham must beware the shadow of the bat.

This series presents reprints of classic Batman stories, featuring work by talents such as Steve Englehart, Walter Simonson, and Allen Milgrom.

As an example of the series, the first issue presents two stories, “By Death’s Eerie Light” and “The Master Plan of Dr. Phosphorus,” which contain the origin of Dr. Phosphorus and tell of the dangerous first meeting between Batman and the glowing villain. Will Phosphorus succeed in poisoning Gotham’s drinking water?

The first issue also includes a backup story titled “Hell Park” in which two men come face-to-face with the demons inside themselves.
