When a Shi’ar military outpost was utterly destroyed by forces unknown, the Shi’ar command sent their most powerful warrior, Gladiator, to investigate. Gladiator, who is capable of pounding even the Incredible Hulk into submission, soon found reason to fear. The culprit was a mythological hero—the fantastically powerful being known as Supreme.

Supreme considered himself a force of divine vengeance: constantly searching for a race of righteous people, but destroying them without mercy when they inevitably failed to live up to his insane expectations. Supreme had the power of a god—but this god was insane!
