The Shadow (Movie Adaptation)
(Dark Horse, 1994)
™ and ©1994 The Conde Nast Corporation
This mini-series adapts the 1994 movie “The Shadow,” starring Alec Baldwin in the title role. The Shadow is a masked avenger who learned to control men’s minds while in the Orient. As the Shadow, he uses his uncanny abilities—and a network of operatives—to fight the scourge of evil in the city.
In his latest adventure, the Shadow must do battle with ages-old world conqueror Genghis Khan. When Khan’s coffin was opened by an archaeologist at the American Museum of Natural History, his undying body reached forward and strangled the scientist. Using his own powerful mental abilities, Khan has gathered a cult of followers to do his bidding. He also brings from the grave a strange metal called Bronzium which, when mixed with “modern” 1930s technology, can produce the equivalent of an atomic bomb. It’s up to the Shadow to stop him—or Khan might once again conquer the world.
