The deaths of Darth Vader and the Emperor in The Return of the Jedi seemed to have ended the conflict for Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa. But the overwhelming popularity of Star Wars, more than the machinations of the villains, allows no respite in fighting for the Alliance; thus this reprinted six-issue mini-series from Dark Horse.

Six years after the defeat of the Empire at Endor, Leia and her husband Han Solo are on a mission to rescue Luke and Lando Calrissian from the Imperial home world where they crashed. Arriving in the midst of a heated battle, the clash ends abruptly, when Luke emerges from the ruins of the Imperial Palace, and with the consummate skill of a Jedi Knight, downs the Imperial Walkers. The ensuing celebration is short-lived when Luke insists on staying to battle the vast evil he feels is approaching.
