Casper Adventure Digest

    (Harvey, 1992-1993)
™ and © Harvey Comic Publications

Though many of the same Casper stories were reprinted in other Casper digests from Harvey Comics, this digest tended to focus on the longer Casper adventure stories running 10 to 15 pages instead of the 1 to 5 page humor stories. Typically dismissed as juvenile fare, some of the best Casper adventure stories nonetheless rivaled the likes of Tintin, Uncle Scrooge, or Little Lulu with strong messages about smoking, the ecology, littering, overpopulation, greed, etc. Stories with much more depth than just an, “It’s a g-g-g-g-ghost!”
