Buck Godot, Zap Gun For Hire

Buck Godot is a rough-and-tumble kind of guy with a heart of gold. He’s widely regarded as “the worst-dressed sentient being in the Galaxy,” although his job as a bodyguard lets him hang around some of the universe’s sexiest beings, including famed madame Louisa Dem Five. In this extended mini-series (its eight issues are scheduled to be published over three years), Buck joins Louisa to find out why her brothels on Gallimaufry have been doing so very poorly. Along the way he’ll dodge tax notifiers, battle long-lost relatives, and face the pandemonium brought on by the sudden appearance of a cheerful floating lizard considered a deity by 3/4 of Gallimaufry’s religions.

Buck Godot, Zap Gun For Hire is a continuation of the hard-to-find Buck Godot graphic novels published by Donning/Starblaze. Creator Phil Foglio is famous for his lighthearted storytelling, as seen in Angel and the Ape (2nd Series), a title he had previously done for DC.
