The Ex-Mutants was originally planned as a spoof upon Marvel’s countless “X-” titles (X-Force, X-Men, X-Factor, X-cetera…). With this second, color series, the team finds itself rising above parody to become a legitimate favorite. The Ex-Mutants are comprised of Swordsman Dillon, strong-man Ackroyd, beauties Shannon, Tanya, and Piper, and diminutive bowman Bud. Formerly, these were genetically designed mutants, modeled after people who worked on the project that created them. But these mutants live without super-powers, relying on their wits and athletic abilities instead.
In addition to this comic book, Ex-Mutants has recently found itself converted into a popular home video game.
