In the Wild West, a crusty prospector digging for gold strikes more than he bargained for and unearths a prehistoric hidden city founded by a race of super-beings from space! In the hibernation chambers of Splendor, only one being has survived the ages: Cobalt Blue. Several thousand years of sleep has done nothing for his disposition, though: Cobalt Blue is still driven with a soldier’s determination to rid the world of his hereditary enemies, who now have only a single survivor: their nearly unstoppable leader, Grawn.

Writer Mike Gustovich conceived of Cobalt Blue back in the 1970s and scripted several episodes of a complex plotline, but only one story ever saw the light of day, in Power Comics (later reprinted in Justice Machine). Now, working with solid art by Keith Pollard, Gustovich finally gets to present his science fiction epic in a deluxe format.
