“Her father had prayed for a boy, but God had blessed him with a girl.” As if to compensate, young Maria grew taller and stronger than every boy in the village. Soon, Maria Sanchez became Mexico’s favorite professional wrestler, fighting under the name “Chesty Sanchez.” Eventually, during a great food poisoning crisis, she came to the attention of the Mexican government, who outfitted her with a super-hero costume, a blazing automatic weapon, and a sidekick to help her battle crime and chaos.

Chesty Sanchez is the brainchild of writer Steve Ross and artist Scott Michaud, who produce her black-and-white adventures for Antarctic Press.
