The Dung Boys

    (Kitchen Sink, 1996)
™ and © Kitchen Sink Press, Inc.

Irreverent and brazen, The Dung Boys is as much the story of Benji, Stickee and Hillary as it is a psychedelic adventure without destination or purpose. Creators Mark McFinn and Robb Conaway fill their story with giddy pointlessness as the gang get sent to jail, experience a woman’s prison, engage in pages of mindless violence and point out the readers of their own comic book.

Filled with comic industry puns and private in-jokes, The Dung Boys is reminiscent of British slapstick comedy and punk culture. Fans of 2000 AD and Marshall Law may see familiar uses of artist graffiti and lettering used to make a joke.
