Gunsmith Cats: Goldie vs. Misty

When a journalist shoots incriminating tape of Mafia goons with cocaine and public officials, he naturally hands it over to his daughter for safekeeping. Then he’s killed. She ends up in jail and meets Misty, to whom she spills the beans about the tape. Then she’s killed.

Released from jail, Misty tells her friend Rally about the tapes and they decide to go get them and take them to the media, because that makes more sense than going to the authorities. The Mafia could have a mole in the FBI, you know. Gunplay ensues.

Allegedly set in Chicago, this work of escalating fight scenes and no logic gets you thinking: is this just a bad translation, or could the original Japanese actually be worse?

This is the fourth in the Gunsmith Cats series by creator Kenochi Sonoda, whose other credits include the anime Bubblegum Crisis. Its publishers threaten that there are more on the way.
