Dick Danger

The protagonist is a detective who knows he’s on the right trail when his nose starts to itch, a handy tool when he’s on the trail of a charitable gentleman bandit who liberated the largest sapphire in the world, or when he’s after a female Soviet commander. A series of one page ‘crime quizzes’ are tossed in for fun.

In all, a very simplistic story told in an equally simple style. While suitable for all ages, some might view Dick Danger as a parody of …something. It just reads that way. Whatever its true point, the three issues of Dick Danger released in 1998 were a huge hit in Scandinavia.

Creator W.W. Olsen owns a cartooning store, and created Trendz, a gag strip.
