Warchild

This Arthurian remake began as the Black Knight, an evil warrior with no concept of chivalry, defeated the ancient sorcerer, Vizier. As his last act before dying, Vizier summoned three noteworthy figures from the past and planted them in the present day. The figures include a young female wizard with the familiar name of Merlin, a youthful combatant named Sword and a cyborg named Stone.

Upon reawakening in the present, the trio’s first order of business is to recover Sword’s blade, which holds the soul of Sword’s long lost love. The Black Knight knows he will be defeated if the sword is recovered and makes it his priority to stop the trio in their quest.

Maximum press is a splinter company of Rob Liefeld’s Extreme Studios. Warchild, one of Maximum’s first offerings, debuted in 1995.
