Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey

The monster called Doomsday appeared out of nowhere and proceeded to destroy everything in its path. Green Lantern, the Justice League…nobody could stop him, and all who tried wound up dead or wounded. Finally it came down to Superman. In a battle that shook Metropolis, the Man of Steel finally put an end to Doomsday’s rampage—but it cost him his life. We saw it ourselves in Superman (2nd Series) #75: Superman died (although, he’s since gotten better).

Unfortunately, so has Doomsday. When last we saw him, a cyborg Superman-impostor had sent him hurtling away into space. But as we discover in this three-issue series of books, Doomsday was the product of ancient experiments in evolution which created a creature that can’t be killed—he simply regenerates, stronger than ever before. Now he’s back after Superman, and this time the battle is truly to the death!
