Concrete
(Dark Horse, 1985, 1987-1988, 2005-2006)
™ and ©1987 Paul Chadwick
When Ronald Lithgow’s brain was transplanted into its new, rocky body, he was on his way to instant stardom. As Concrete, he has become the talk of the town, and is taking to his newfound fame like a duck to water.
He may look like the Thing, but the lovable Concrete is no brawler. Instead, he tries his hand at more “normal” pursuits, such as rescuing mine workers and trying to swim the Atlantic Ocean. Since Concrete is also a writer, he records these experiences on paper, eventually turning them into books. These pursuits, combined with his penchant for publicity, would seem to almost guarantee the books to be best-sellers.
A well-written and intelligent character, Concrete first appeared in the pages of Dark Horse Presents #1. This first solo book continues that tradition of fine storytelling.
