Hershel Goldstein, the original Brass, has a seemingly impossible task on his hands: to whip seven would-be soldiers into shape before an alien invasion fleet ravages their planet. They’ve got the desire and the look of warriors, but they lack the discipline and the skill. Still, their determination moves Hershel, and he sees that he must help them in their endeavors. If only there was more time…

But there isn’t. The invasion is looming, and as much he hates it, Hershel may have to call on the power of his armored alter ego Brass to lead this rag-tag band of heroes into battle.

This is excellent stuff from writer John Arcudi (Major Bummer) and artists Carlos D’Anda (Resident Evil) and Richard Bennett (Tales of the Witchblade)—full of heart and soul.
