The Demolution Engine

From the text page in the back of Demolution Engine, you can get some idea of what the creators had in mind for their comic book, what their influences are, and what they hope to do in future issues. Unfortunately, none of that is particularly helpful in deciphering this blurred jumble.

Intentionally or not, this is obscure, visually unappealing, and a prime example of awkward, disjointed storytelling with unappealing characters and just plain bad lettering. (One hint, guys: Good lettering should fit the balloons.) While readers can usually glean at least the author’s intent in his work, besides the fact that it’s kind of horror and sort of a police procedural, frankly, this time they’ll be stumped.
