In the early ’90’s, Valiant managed to resurrect an assortment of little known characters from Gold Key, gave them a more modern treatment, and turned them into a fan sensation. Among the bunch were Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom, Turok, and Magnus Robot Fighter.

Having enjoyed huge success with the remake of Magnus, Valiant decided the time was right to revisit the original. This four-issue series from Valiant features the original Magnus Robot Fighter, where Magnus was a kinder, gentler soul. Rather than smashing countless robots to pieces like he did in the early 1990s version from Valiant, Magnus first attempts to disarm or shut down a robot before resorting to violence. The folks at Valiant Comics did some touch-ups on the original work before reprinting the series, including a much-needed recoloring of each issue.
