Sleeze Brothers

    (Epic, 1989-1990)
™ and ©1989 John Carnell and Andy Lanning

The Sleeze brothers were created in a test tube, discarded as defective, then rescued from the trash by a janitor named Papa Beatbox who lovingly raised them as his own. Naturally, they grew up to become monumental losers. They now make their living as private detectives in a futuristic cesspool known as Greebatown. Although dumb as rocks, they’ll take any job (including taking surprise photos of spouses who stray with many-lipped aliens).

One day, a strange new client showed up in their offices. He offered the Sleezes a briefcase full of cash to deliver a box to a man who he claimed was his brother. Naturally, the Sleeze Brothers never suspected their client’s true motives, and assumed the box must be some sort of birthday present. They eventually located the man and delivered the “present.” But the man was really a government witness, and the box was a bomb. It exploded, leaving nothing but ashes…and the brothers’ business card!
