Bozo: The World’s Most Famous Clown (Larry Harmon’s…)

Bozo the clown has been part of American culture for over thirty years. As the star of a daily television show practically from the beginning of that medium, Bozo has touched the lives of an estimated 100 million adults. This character was created and initially played by Larry Harmon. Over the years, Harmon personally trained over 200 actors to play Bozo, including TV weatherman Willard Scott (who also served as the first Ronald McDonald).

This giant-sized edition reprints Four Color Comics #285 from the 1950s. It’s classic clowning around complete with unicycles, squirting flowers, and endless pratfalls. Far from the highbrow aspirations of some of today’s comics, this one is done purely for fun.
