Crimson Dreams

    (Crimson, 1985-1986)
™ and ©1986 the respective creators

A short-lived black-and-white anthology series, Crimson Dreams presented tales and poems in a wide range of genres featuring the works of aspiring writers and artists—one of the more noted ones being Russ Miller. The topic of death was a loose thread connecting most of the stories within the title—some being short and strange (apocalyptic visions); some being short and fun (cowboy versus alien); others being longer, carrying over a number of issues (full blown sci-fi epics). One can easily be reminded here the advantage of the small press and that the best comics don’t all come from the big publishers alone. Certainly, within the pages of Crimson Dreams, you can expect to find some diamonds in the rough.
