To crack a series of unsolved murders, policewoman Vicky Lenore manages to uncover a conspiracy beyond her wildest nightmares. Penetrating the highest echelons of human society, vampires have evolved to the point at which they prioritize power over the pursuit of the hunt. However, one pesky, dissenting faction may prove to be the undoing of their reign as well as Lenore’s own life.

Aided by her stalwart partner Benito Biaggi, fiery Lt. Lenore encounters the lethal tag team of Drago and Camilla. Bloodthirsty siblings bent on revenge, they are systematically eviscerating the cabal that murdered their parents and now hopes to eliminate them by enlisting the help of a similarly ferocious youth named Aznar Akeba. To expose a shadow world locked in a life and death struggle, Lenore is lured deeper into a dangerous realm that bares both her body and soul.

Europeans Enrico Marini and Jean Dufaux revitalize the fanged fable with a sophisticated sensibility and spicy flair. This series exudes style, with action, scenery, and storytelling that is like The Matrix meets the Vampire Chronicles (which means it’s infinitely more entertaining than Blade). Mindful that its explicit sex and violence are for mature audiences, Raptors grabs readers by the lapels, throws them on an adrenaline-packed rollercoaster, and doesn’t let them go.
