Ulysses Solomon Archer, known affectionately as U.S., has trucking in his blood. As a child, he loved nothing better than watching the big rigs go by or riding along in the cab with his parents, both truckers. Even though he wanted to start trucking right after high school, his adoptive father, Poppa, and his brother put together the money to send him to college. He went on to graduate, magna cum laude, with degrees in computer program design and electronics engineering. But when he finished, he wanted nothing more than to drive a rig down the road.

When the evil Highwayman forced U.S. and his brother (also a truck driver) off the road, only U.S. survived. U.S. vowed to avenge his brother’s death, and used his knowledge to create a super-cab, fit for the best trucker who ever was.
