This three-issue mini-series from Dark Horse is a prequel to the events recounted in the movie adaptation, Starship Troopers. Featuring concepts based on the novel by Robert A. Heinlein, an intrepid band of scientists and military personnel aboard the spaceship Cortez explore Klendathu, the homeworld of the arachnid race that subsequently invades the earth due to the events related here. This first contact story chills and shocks as it foreshadows the ruthless fighting and graphic battle scenes that are destined to be played out when the arachnids learn of Earth’s existence.
