Groo the Wanderer (Sergio Aragonés’…)

    (Pacific, 1982-1984)
™ and ©1983 Sergio Aragonés

He’s fierce! He’s strong! He’s a sword-wielding barbarian! He’s… really, really stupid!

He’s Groo—a cheese dip-addicted barbarian who poses a great danger to friends and foe alike. When he wanders from town to town, he is easily tracked because of the impressive destruction he leaves in his path. Searching for someone who will hire him as a mercenary, Groo’s fondest dream is to earn enough kopins to buy himself a lifetime supply of cheese dip.

Created by Mad Magazine’s Sergio Aragonés, Groo the Wanderer is a supremely funny spoof on such sword-and-sorcery heroes as Conan the Barbarian.
