Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters: Lost and Alone in New York
(Parody, 1993)
™ and ©1993 Don Chin. Stories ©1993 their respective creators
If the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a joke that got out of control, what do you say about the Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters?
Don Chin dreamed up the idea as a spoof on the stars of the 1980 black-and-white boom. His hamster title characters are named after famous action heroes: Chuck (Norris), Jackie (Chan), Clint (Eastwood), and Bruce (Lee). The four had been sent into space to destroy a UFO known as “radioactive cosmic Jello” and were forced to blow up their ship to save the world from its ravages. Their bodies then fell to earth where they were picked up by Himalayan Monks and trained in the martial arts. Sounds plausible enough, right?
In this special, they wind up lost in New York (in a spoof of the Home Alone sequel) and have to take on their arch nemeses, a quartet of artistically named turtles!
