Tales of The Darkness

The success of The Darkness led its creators to launch this series, allowing different artist/writer teams to tell stories of the demonic power as it has existed in different ages. As can be expected, the quality of the stories varies. But when it’s good (as in the story of Cervantes encountering Michaelangelo Estacado in issue #3–4), it’s very good indeed. Although many credit The Darkness’ success as a comic to the influence of writer Garth Ennis, it’s nice to know that the character and concepts seem to have legs beyond the style of that creator.
