Millennium Edition: Superman (1st Series)

    (DC, 2000-2001)
™ and ©2000 DC Comics

D.C. continues their Millennium Edition line with a seminal story spotlighting the first meeting between Superman and Batman which originally appeared in 1952 in Superman Vol. 1 No. 76.

Fighting crime is exhausting, but when Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne each decide to take a vacation cruise, they never imagined they would end up sharing the same cabin. Hiding their secret identities presents an interesting and amusing challenge as trouble erupts in the form of diamond thieves. And if battling crooks is not enough, the two heroes have to figure out which one Lois Lane likes better. The first in a long history of Superman/Batman team-ups, this story was drawn by legendary Superman artist Curt Swan.

Four other stories are also featured in this issue including a prose piece about the history of the gatling gun, a tale featuring Lois Lane, a Jerry the Jitterbug comic strip, and another thrilling Superman adventure.
