More Than Mortal is the story of Derdre of the Family Glynis, a winsome Irish heroine who has been endowed with the power of the Protector—a fabled warrior whose duty is to defend the Emerald Isle against all threats, both natural and supernatural.

In this limited series that is essentially a rip-roaring Halloween tale, Derdre pursues an apparition called la Dame en Blanc—the Lady in White—and comes across the Night Market, a gathering of otherworldly sellers and traders. Here, a mysterious old woman who speaks in riddles offers Derdre a book that will reveal her destiny. But will the the Protector’ spirit be snuffed out before greatness can be attained?
