Part 3 focuses on Ranma’s skills improving through the school of hard knocks. Creepy classmate Gosunkugi wants to find Ranma’s weakness. What he finds instead is Ranma’s terrifying transformation into a master of Cat-Fu. Only gentle Akane can bring Ranma back.

Shampoo returns after a sojourn to the cursed springs with her great-grandmother, Cologne. Cologne insists that Ranma become her “son-in-law.” Trapping Ranma in his female side, Cologne challenges Ranma. To win his manhood back, Ranma must be fast enough to grab chestnuts out of a fire and not get burned.

Amazed by Ranma’s new speed, Ryoga teams up with Cologne to learn supertoughness. Add Shampoo’s real fiancé (well…at least in his mind,) Mousse, and Ranma definitely gets a few lessons beat into him. And if he stops off for tea or a bite, who’s to blame him?
