Big Edsel Band is a late-1980s vintage black-andwhite independent comic featuring the exploits of a four-piece bar band as they stumble and munch their way through madcap encounters with crooks, groupies, professional wrestlers, and other menaces to society. Picture Josie and the Pussycats as a group of potbellied slobs, if you dare. Big Edsel Band was apparently based on a real group that specialized in retro-rock cover songs from the 50s and 60s. Drummer Tom (Gonzo) Seeberg, guitarist Allan (Flash) Wallace, Artie Ebert, and Billy Dee form a fearsome foursome with enough personality quirks to generate a few pages of laughs in this odd little book.
