In the future, the polar ice caps have melted, the seas have risen—and mankind has been forced to build vast “seascrapers” in order to survive. Built and run by vast corporations, these steel islands house nations of workers in claustrophobic isolation. Now the unimaginable has occurred: a wayward experiment in genetic engineering has released a killer virus known as Mutatis. And if it’s not stopped, everyone in the city will be dead within days.

Among the first infected is Lyle Clane, a former cop who fell into corporate disfavor. In eighteen hours he’ll be sick, in twenty four hours he’ll have mutated and died. But the corporation has given him a chance: if he can find and kill the other three people known to be infected, the company will try to cure him. Fail, and everyone dies—one way or another.
