Continues Witchblade vs. Frankenstein: Monster War; concludes Monster War storyline.
When mob enforcer Jackie Estacado, wielder of the supernatural force The Darkness, investigates a brutal mass murder at his organization’s prestigious brothel, he expects to find evidence the hit was perpetrated by a rival “family.” Instead, he becomes embroiled in a desperate struggle against the savage Mr. Hyde (now existing separate from his alter-ego Dr. Jekyll), who has created a virus capable of transforming all of humanity into monstrous hybrids of himself and Dracula. Unfortunately, that’s only the beginning: Hyde’s ultimate goal is the release of ancient “Lovecraft-ian” forces that make Jackie’s demons look like Hollywood Gremlins after a late-night snack.
Alongside Witchblade, Tomb Raider, and the Magdalena, he wages an all-out battle against Hyde and his allies, concluding (for better or worse) the Monster War begun in Magdalena vs. Dracula, and continued in Tomb Raider vs. The Wolf-Men and Witchblade vs. Frankenstein.
